On February 4th, 2022, Judge Karen S. Jennemann retired after 28 years of service for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division. The bankruptcy law community celebrated Judge Jennemann’s retirement at a lighthearted, jovial portrait unveiling ceremony and reception at the Orlando Bankruptcy Court. Chief Bankruptcy Judge Caryl Delano and Judge Lori Vaughan (a former law clerk to Judge Jennemann) delivered heartfelt and fitting tributes to Judge Jennemann, highlighting her numerous significant achievements and accolades during her time on the bench. Judge Jennemann’s husband (Scott) and son (Tom) had the honor of unveiling her portrait, which was done in a stunning contemporary style that features downtown Orlando as the backdrop. The standing-room-only crowd then celebrated and toasted Judge Jennemann at a spirited reception, at one point even initiating a flash-mob conga line, much to her delight.
