The Corporations, Securities & Financial Services Committee, also known as the CSFS Committee, is composed of lawyers and professionals practicing in the areas of corporate, securities, mergers and acquisitions, financial services, and transactional law. The CSFS Committee members routinely advise and represent business entities (including for-profit and not-for-profit corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies), investors and entrepreneurs, and financial institutions (including banks, savings institutions, credit unions, mortgage companies, and insurance companies). All members of The Florida Bar, including in-house counsel, regulatory attorneys, academics, and private practitioners, as well as law school students, are welcome to participate.
Several members of the CSFS Committee are authors of primary legal reference materials, professors at Florida’s law schools, and among Florida’s most widely recognized private practitioners.
The centerpiece of the Committee’s activities for over two decades has been its legislative and regulatory initiatives, including restatements and major amendments of Florida’s laws governing corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and securities. The Committee continues to monitor federal and state legislation, regulations, and judicial decisions, and advises on and develops legislative proposals.
Join the CSFS COMMITTEE LISTSERV for the latest general discussion and information about upcoming meetings and initiatives.
