The application period for the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ Cornelius Blackshear Fellowship program is open now through May 31. The program provides a stipend of up to 50 percent of travel, lodging, and meal expenses incurred to attend the NCBJ’s annual conference, with the stipend capped at $2,000. In addition, the registration fee (worth about $1,000) is waived. The program is meant to support up-and-coming minority lawyers involved in the bankruptcy practice. This year’s conference will be held in Seattle on September 18-20. Information about Judge Blackshear, the selection criteria, and the application can be found here: Blackshear Presidential Fellows.
