What has been your best experience from your time as a Fellow?
Getting to meet the other fellows, getting involved in multiple projects, and getting to see firsthand the impact BLS has on its members and the legal community.
Why did you apply to the Business Law Section’s Fellowship Program?
I wanted to find a way to get meaningfully involved in my community. The Fellowship Program thrusts you into involvement in the best way possible. Committees are always thinking about how they could get a fellow involved; all that was required was an openness to help and be engaged. I have met an incredible amount of members I now get to call my colleagues through the program and have a good understanding of my place within BLS once my time as a fellow ends.
What’s the best piece of advice you have received?
There is no pressure being part of BLS, there is only opportunity. BLS is a community that is focused on learning about and improving our industry and you must approach it that way to get the full experience. Since then, I go to each meeting with an eye out for what I want to learn, who I want to ask questions to, and where I can offer my experience and time.
What is your favorite BLS subcommittee and why?
I have been fortunate enough to meet with and participate in many of the subcommittees, I think it’s unfair to have to pick one!
