Happy Wednesday!! I hope this message finds you well. It’s Lotoya Brown, Project Attorney for the Put Something Back Project. It is wonderful to meet you again in this virtual space!

Put Something Back still needs your help!  We currently have various clients needing assistance with a bankruptcy matter and I wanted to check in with you to see if you are available to help. The following cases would appreciate your assistance.

BANKRUPTCY

25-0292055  Client needs assistance with a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Due to a lack of work, reduced income, and medical conditions, he is not able to keep up with his mortgage and debt. He owes about $50,000 in total debt.

25-0292620 Middle-aged, single, unemployed client needs assistance with a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Due to some hardship, he has fallen behind on credit card and mortgage payments.
25-0293177  Middle-aged, divorced, and unemployed client seeks legal assistance in filing and representing him in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy process. He owes approximately more than one hundred thousand dollars, and was previously evicted and lost his motor vehicle due to repossession.
25-0290337  The client needs assistance with filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Due to previous loss of employment, inconsistent self-employment opportunities and exorbitant credit card use, he has accumulated nearly one hundred and fifty thousand dollars (~$150,000.00) in credit card debt, car loans, and other loans.
25-0288193  Young adult needs assistance in filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy due to having thousands of dollars of credit card debt and other loans.

25-0278404  Elderly client on SSI needs to declare a Chapter 13 bankruptcy because she can no longer pay her debt obligations, but would still like to keep her home.
 
25-0289017  Single, elderly client has had his income plunge before and after COVID and has racked up tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt, and personal and business loans. He would like to file for bankruptcy to eliminate the debt.
25-0289446  Divorced, elderly client needs assistance with filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. She’s accumulated thousands of dollars in debt and fears that she will lose her home.
25-0291261  Married, middle-aged, low-income client needs legal assistance with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. They are unable to keep up with their credit card debt and is being sued by a debt collector for it, along with student loans. Overall, she owes about $27,000. Case number can be provided upon request.
25-0291987  Nearly elderly, separated client living off of SSI needs assistance with filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The client has been through much hardship in his life and has accumulated thousands of dollars in credit card debt from multiple companies.
25-0292318  Middle-aged, divorced, low-income client needs assistance with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Due to medical issues, the client fell behind on her credit card debt and medical debt totaling tens of thousands of dollars.
25-0285256  Middle-aged, low-income client needs legal assistance in filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy due to accumulating tens of thousands of dollars in student loans and credit card debts.
25-0290370  Divorced, middle-aged, unemployed client needs assistance in filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Since he suffered an accident and was laid off from his last job, he cannot keep up with his debt and ongoing child support payments, of which he owes thousands of dollars.
25-0284499  Middle-aged married, disabled client needs legal assistance in filing for bankruptcy.
25-0285159  Single, middle-aged, low-income applicant needs assistance in filing for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. The client owes various credit card debts totaling tens of thousands of dollars combined.
25-0292152  Spanish-speaking, low-income client needs assistance with filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. They have a home that they are not current with the payment and multiple credit card debts totaling over ten thousand dollars.
25-0295259  The clients POA is helping with the bankruptcy application. They have lost their job and accumulated debt. Several credit cards and loan. Needs a consultation with a BK attorney.
 
25-0284496  Widowed client living off of SSI wants a consultation with a bankruptcy attorney to discuss his case, may need to file for bankruptcy.
25-0286014  Unemployed, married applicant needs assistance with filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy to reconcile and/or discharge a debt from a law firm, in which they filed a court case in Palm Beach County, FL against applicant.
25-0293809  Middle-aged, low-income, single client needs assistance with a chapter 7 bankruptcy. She wants to eliminate all her credit card debt and other debt via Chapter 7 Bankruptcy as she owes tens of thousands of dollars.
25-0287598  Divorced, homeless client needs to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy due to insurmountable credit card debt. He also has a current lawsuit for credit card debt.
25-0277242  Middle-aged, disabled U.S. Navy veteran only obtaining monies through veterans’ benefits seeks Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection (Chapter 13 may be sought instead of Chapter 7) due to a pending foreclosure on his home and seeks assistance with both legal issues.
