What was your most memorable experience as a Fellow?
The most memorable experience is my first meeting as a fellow, Mariane Dorris, was chair of the Section, welcomed all the new members, and had welcome gift bags ready to go. From there , the fellows were acknowledged at each meeting, and it felt that they were each a part of something bigger.
Did you have a mentor or leader that encouraged you to get more involved?
Stephanie Lieb and Douglas Bates were my mentors and they encouraged me to get involved in the Section and take on a leadership role following my fellowship.
What is your advice for the current Fellows?
Commit yourself to meeting someone new at each meeting and sit with people who you have never met before.
