What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
The best piece of advice I have received is “to buy the ticket, take the ride.” “To buy the ticket, take the ride,” resonates deeply with me. Embracing opportunities and exploring uncharted paths aligns with my philosophy that not doing so is a missed opportunity in life. This perspective motivates me to take risks and seize chances, ensuring a rich and fulfilling journey.
Do you have any pets?
I have one dog, Waylon (yes, as in Waylon Jennings). He is a blue tick hound / black mouth cur mix. Despite being the “worst behaved” dog, Waylon brings immeasurable joy to my kids, making his antics more than tolerable. Waylon’s ability to open doors, sit at the table, and share affection makes him an integral part of the family.
What has been your best experience from your time as a Fellow?
Reflecting on my experiences so far as a fellow, presenting a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session at the Florida Bar Annual convention, that I am slated to do again this year, and my recent publication concerning ChatGPT were some of my best experiences as a fellow. Connecting with esteemed attorneys and judges, including my fellow-paired mentor Kacy Donlon, adds to the wealth of positive experiences that being a fellow offers.
